Tek-Crete VRT
Tek-Crete VRT is a urethane concrete covebase and vertical application system, which is designed to be used with other Tek-Crete systems to create a monolithic floor and cove. It functions in excessively abusive (impact, wear, chemical, heat, wet areas) areas where other flooring systems fail, such as, acid brick, quarry tile, ceramic tile and most polymer flooring systems.

Tek-Crete VRT is a tough impact, chemical and heat resistant three-component urethane resin and curing agent that is mixed with a pre-engineered special aggregate. It is designed for use in vertical applications where superior performance outweighs aesthetic appearances. The system resists steam cleaning, hot and cold liquid spills and extreme temperature changes.

Tek-Crete VRT can be placed on both new and existing concrete. It is ideal for renovation applications, since it cures rapidly allowing for rapid return to service. Unlike a MMA (methyl methacrylates), Tek-Crete VRT is non-flammable and nearly odorless during placement and cure. It complies with all Federal, State and Provisional VOC requirements.

Tek-Crete VRT can be applied at temperatures ranging between 450F (70C) and 850F (290C). Typical setting times at 700F (210C) for pedestrian traffic in 6 hours; return to forklift service is 12 hours; exposure to harsh chemicals is 24 hours. It is a breathable system that can be installed where high rates of moisture vapor transmission would prevent the use of non-breathing impervious flooring systems.

Typical Uses
Tek-Crete VRT is used in rugged service conditions including food processing, beverage, juice, spirit and wine processing, chemical processing, pulp and paper processing, electronics etching and plating processing and around high heat sources, such as, kettles, frialators and hot water dumps.
